MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Local members of a national pet adoption agency were horrified this week when they received a call saying one of their foster pets was burned after being put in an oven.
On Wednesday afternoon, a representative of the Key to Happiness Rescue organization got a call saying a fostered Chihuahua named Khloe was put in an oven and suffered serious burns.
Luckily, she was rushed to a local vet and given a dose of painkillers and antibiotics.
After all that, she has made a good recovery and is going home from the vet.
A report was filed with the Midland County Sheriff's Office and is still an open investigation.
