LUBBOCK- The Midland Lee Baseball team pulled a 6-4 upset in Game 3 of the 6A Regional Semi-Finals on Saturday afternoon.
It was a special moment for the team, as well as Head Coach Brian Roper.
"It means everything, I think what is special about this is our kids have taken some lumps, this has not been easy," Roper said.
They Rebels have not been to the semi-finals since 2007.
"They have worked hard to get where they are at, i think that a lot of the battles that they have had to fight," Roper said. "The adversity that they have had to face, is what makes this special and it is what makes them the men that they are, really."
Lee will face Amarillo High in the 6A Region 1 Finals.
