Officials have released more details following a standoff in Odessa on Thursday.

Kimberly Ann Nieto, 26, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence, after police said she shot at her grandmother, Teresa Renteria.

An arrest affidavit stated Nieto went to Renteria's home on Alleghany Avenue where Nieto's child was.

She demanded her child's clothes, fired two rounds at her grandmother and scratched her face.

After that, police said Nieto fled to a house on the 800 block of Fall Ave. where her two other children were staying.

She barricaded herself inside with six other people.

Odessa police and SWAT surrounded the house until Nieto peacefully surrendered.

No one was hurt during the standoff.

The grandmother only had minor injuries.
