Lovington man behind bars after police seize narcotics, cash, and weapons

LOVING, NM (KWES) - Lovington police seized narcotics, weapons, and drug paraphernalia and put one man behind bars Tuesday.

Authorities say they were initially looking for Michael Blythe, 41, for a probation violation.

Further investigation found over 20 ounces of marijuana, 10 grams of cocaine, over $21,000 in cash, three weapons, drug paraphernalia and over $12,000 in recovered stolen property.

In addition to the probation violation, Blythe was charged with trafficking of controlled substances, receiving stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Blythe faces a maximum of 15 and a half years in jail if convicted.
