Heavy rain and thunderstorms return to West Texas Wednesday night.
The highest chance of storms will be south of I-20 during the overnight hours. The time-line for the storms will be from 10 pm Wednesday night through 6 am Wednesday morning.
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for parts of West Texas until Thursday afternoon.
The main risks for the storms tonight are:
- Flash Flooding (Up to 3" of total rainfall)
- Strong Winds (40+ mph gusts)
- Large Hail (quarter-size)
- Frequent Lightning
The highest rainfall totals will be across the southeastern Permain Basin and Trans Pecos area.
We will still see scattered showers for Thursday afternoon, but the severe threat will be low.
