MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

A Midland mother arrested after hitting the side of a grocery store with her child in the backseat.

It happened Saturday afternoon at the Albertsons on Midland Drive and Wadley Avenue.

Officers arrested Christina Masdon, 33.

A witness told police, he swerved to avoid being hit by Masdon.

The witness was worried so he followed her into the parking lot.

The witness told officers she stopped in front of the store but the car started slowly moving toward the building and hit it.

The report said the witness told officers he found Masdon unconscious in the front with her infant in the backseat.

He was able to unlock the car and put it in park.

Police say Masdon had an aerosol can in her hand.

Masdon is charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15.
