ODESSA, TX (KWES) - UPDATE: Streets in the area of 42nd Street and Tanglewood have been reopened following a suspicious package report this afternoon.
Odessa police said an investigation revealed that the items inside of the suspicious box weren't harmful.

Several streets are closed as Odessa police are investigating a suspicious package.
Odessa police said they receive a call about the suspicious package just after 1:15 p.m. in the area of 42nd Street and Tanglewood Lane.
The Odessa Police Bomb Squad Unit is on the scene investigating.
As a result of the call, drivers and residents are being asked to avoid 42nd Street and Tanglewood Lane while authorities are on the scene.
