Rain and thunderstorm chances are making their way back into parts of West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico.
As we head into the weekend we will see up to an inch of total rainfall across the Permian Basin. The highest totals will be north of the Pecos river.
We will see thunderstorms as well, however the threat for severe weather is low. A few strong storms will develop and be capable of producing:
- Small Hail (pea-sized)
- Breezy Winds (~50 mph Gusts)
- Isolated Flooding
The highest chance of rain and thunderstorms for Friday will be during the evening hours after 8 pm.
Scattered showers are expected on Saturday with the highest chance of rain during the late afternoon hours after 6 pm.
Rain chances will taper off on Sunday with the highest chance of rain during the morning-afternoon hours.
