HOWARD COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A broken down 18-wheeler caused a large traffic problem near Big Spring on Thursday morning.

Howard County Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tommy Sullivan said the 18-wheeler had overheated bearings.

We received numerous reports from drivers on social media and other platforms about the traffic backup west of Big Spring on Interstate 20, near FM 2599.

Reports stated that there was a complete standstill and traffic was very slow in the area.
