Cloudy, gloomy, and windy to start Thursday! A cold front is moving south through our area and will bring much needed relief from this week's heat. A few showers are expected through the morning across the Basin with no major rain accumulation expected.
Ahead of the front, temperatures will start out warm and it will feel muggy outside. As the cold front pushes south, it will be very windy with sustained winds of twenty to thirty miles per hour. The northerly winds will bring down the wind chill by a few degrees. Cloud cover and winds will help keep the afternoon temperatures much cooler than yesterday!
A few showers are expected through the morning across the Basin with no major rain accumulation expected. We may see a few spotty showers in our SE Permian Basin counties tonight and early Friday morning. Another system comes in this weekend bringing up our rain chances for Friday and Saturday.
