Man accused of murder following March fight at Jaguars

A fight at Jaguars turned into a murder charge for one man.

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A fight at Jaguars turned into a murder charge for one man.

Christopher Barger, 41, admitted to authorities that back on March 17. he punched Robert Hanes in the face outside of Jaguars.

Hanes fell backward and hit his head on the asphalt, suffering a fractured skull and bleeding from his brain.

He went into a coma and died on April 20.

An autopsy concluded that Hanes died due to complication of severe head trauma and his death was ruled a homicide.

Christopher Barger is now charged murder in the first degree.
