BREWSTER COUNTY, TX (KWES) - The Brewster County Sheriff's Office made a big bust on Wednesday following a chase.
Authorities said a deputy who was on routine patrol in Marathon spotted unusual activity with a vehicle.
The deputy later attempted to stop the vehicle on Highway 385 as it was headed toward Pecos County.
That's when, authorities said, the vehicle sped up trying to evade the deputy.
However, Pecos County deputies were able to deflate the vehicles tires.
After the vehicle ran off into a field, the deputy found the vehicle loaded with bundles of marijuana.
In total, authorities said almost 300 pounds of marijuana was seized.
Authorities added that two suspects fled the scene and a search is underway for the suspects.
