Rain and thunderstorm chances return to the forecast this Mother's Day weekend.
The highest chance for storms will be on Saturday. We will see scattered showers during the morning afternoon hours, but the highest chance of storms will develop during the afternoon and evening hours.
The severe weather threat for Saturday is low. The strongest storms will be capable of producing small hail, gusty winds, and lightning.
Storms will move out of our area by early Sunday morning.
If you have any special plans to take that special someone out on Sunday- morning, lunch, and afternoon plans will be best. We will see scattered shower chances return to the area during the late afternoon and evening hours.
Severe weather chances on Mother's Day will be low.
We will see sunny skies to start the week and temperatures will climb into the 90's.
