Rainfall returns to the forecast this weekend

A cold front on Sunday afternoon will bring rain chances back to the forecast.

We will see rain move into West Texas and southeastern New Mexico this weekend.

A cold front will push through the Permian Basin on Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. This will bring the next chance of rain to the forecast.

Rain chances will last into Monday evening with the highest rainfall totals in the northeastern portions of the Basin.

Severe weather threat is very low for this event. It's looking like "good old-fashioned rain."

We will see up to an inch of total rainfall for the Basin as we start the month of May.
