ODESSA, TX (KWES) - After the crash Sunday night, the vehicles were so badly damaged all of them needed to be towed. Christopher Galindo and his family saw the whole thing up close and personal. His son said he thought there were fireworks going on outside.
"I saw the wreck and saw the power lines come down. I turned around and told my wife and kids to take off running towards the back because I thought that it was going to explode," said Galindo.
Galindo and his family were getting ready to call it a night when everything happened.
"It was unexpected. It was out-of-the-blue," said Galindo.
A damaged pole, shattered glass, and even a box of cigarettes were still on the scene a day later.
"Everybody started coming out. My neighbors across the street. Everybody came out, it was a big crowd," said Galindo.
Police arrested Robert Hall for his role in the crash. Officials said Hall intentionally tried to run 25 year old Jerrell Turner off the road. At the time of the crash, police said Hall had cocaine, pot, prescription pills, and even a handgun on him.
Corporal Steve LeSueur of the Odessa Police Department, said, "It was not a robbery, or a police chase, it was a chase between two vehicles. It was a dispute that started over money."
Even though his family lost power until the next day, Galindo and his family tried to do everything they could to help.
"I told my wife to call the police and she told my son Johnathan to call the police. My wife's main concern was for me to make sure everybody was alright out there," said Galindo.
The 25 year old victim Jerrell Turner was treated and released from Medical Center Hospital. Hall was also treated and released. He will be facing aggravated assault and drug charges.
