Martin County Sheriff's Office looking for attempted sexual assault suspect

MARTIN COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Crime Stoppers and the Martin County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating an attempted sexual assault suspect.

On the night of April 5, the Martin County Sheriff's Office was called out to the area of County Road C-3300 and Private Road C-2881 for an attempted sexual assault.

According to deputies, an investigation revealed that a man attempted to sexually assault the victim and threatened the victim with a knife.

The attacker is described as a white male with brown hair, light brown eyes, 200 lbs. and approximately 6’ tall.

The attacker fled the scene, as the victim's dog bit him on the forearm.

The attacker dropped the victim's phone, while driving eastbound on CR C-3300.

The victim was able to provide information to a sketch artist of what the suspect looked like.
