ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Midland police officer Rudy Robles, 23, was arrested Sunday in Odessa for misdemeanor assault family violence after an altercation with his live-in girlfriend.
According to authorities, Odessa police officers were called out to the Andalucia Apartments on 52nd Street for a disturbance.
The arrest affidavit states that when police arrived, they spoke to a 21-year old woman.
She told them that her live-in boyfriend, Robles, had started drinking at 8 p.m. on Saturday and continued drinking throughout the night.
The woman said she got into an argument with Robles about how much he had drank.
Robles became upset when she began pouring out the alcohol.
According to Odessa police, Robles then grabbed the victim by her arm and wrist and began to pull her.
The victim said she told Robles to let her go but Robles did not.
Authorities said police saw a small scratch on her wrist and another scratch on her underarm.
Robles was arrested for misdemeanor assault family violence.
City of Midland Public Information Officer Sara Bustilloz said Robles has been with Midland Police Department for three years.
Robles has been placed on administrative leave with pay while MPD conducts and internal investigation.
