Two Odessa men killed in Ector County accident

WEST ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Two Odessa men were killed in an evening accident in Ector County.

The accident happened Monday on FM 2020, about one mile west of Odessa.

DPS Troopers said a 2007 Chrysler 300 was attempting to make a left turn from the eastbound inside lane on FM 2020 as a 2000 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound.

According to the report, the driver of the Chrysler, failed to yield the right of way causing the F-150 to crash into the Chrysler.

The driver of the Chrysler, Jason Acosta Valenzuela, and a passenger in the Chrysler, Michael James Espinoza, 29, both of Odessa, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The report stated that Valenzuela wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Authorities said the driver of the Ford F-150, Mark Anthony Sigala, 18, also of Odessa, was treated and released at the scene.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
