ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars on several charges after trying to hit his aunt.
Odessa police were called out to the 500 block of Amburgey Ave. in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they saw one man in a red shirt hitting another man.
Authorities tried to separate the men but the man in the red shirt, later identified as Alexander Delgado, 19, kept trying to hit the other men.
According to the report, officers ordered Delgado to stop and that's when he turned toward officers with a closed fist and started yelling at the officers.
As officers were trying to handcuff Delgado, he refused to place his hands behind his back and ignored all other commands.
He was later taken into custody.
An investigation revealed that Delgado tried to hit his 36-year-old aunt and also threw a big rock at her.
Delgado has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence) and resisting arrest.
