Woman arrested for drugs and unlawful possession of gun

A woman is behind bars for possession of a gun and drugs after a traffic stop. Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Odessa police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East University Boulevard.

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A woman is behind bars for possession of a gun and drugs after a traffic stop.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Odessa police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East University Boulevard.

Officers noticed that the driver, Patricia Stroud, 32, seemed nervous and made secretive movements towards the center console, front seat and floorboard.

When officers searched the car they discovered methamphetamine scattered around the front, a handgun, a bag of cocaine, a small cylinder, two glass pipes, a small scale and several multicolored small baggies.

The approximate total weight of the methamphetamine ended up being 28 grams.

Further investigation revealed that Stroud was a convicted felon.

Stroud was arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
