ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A man in Odessa is wanted for theft after officials say, he walked in to H-E-B and tried to get away with $250 worth of movies.
It happened back in December at the H-E-B on 42nd Street.
Officials say the man walked in, grabbed a handful of DVD's, covered it with some deli meat and tried to walk out the store.
A manager stopped him and demanded a receipt.
Officials say, the suspect handed the manager a receipt that didn't even belong to H-E-B, then took off.
Although he didn't make off with the DVD's and food, he'll still be charged.
"He will still be charged with theft because he attempted to take that out of the store, said Odessa Crime Stopper's Susan Rogers. "He walked past all points to pay out. Even though he didn't make it out of the store with the stuff, he will be charged with theft."
If you know this man, give Odessa Crime Stoppers a call at 432-333-TIPS.
