ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A traffic accident on Saturday night left one man dead, another badly injured and another behind bars.

The collision happened at the intersection of FM 866 and State Highway 302.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the driver of a Ford F-350 was traveling north on FM 866 when he disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and struck an F-250 headed east on Highway 302.

The driver of the F-250, Early Waterbury, was killed on impact.

The driver who disregarded the stop sign suffered minor injuries.  But his passenger was ejected from the truck and suffered incapacitating injuries.  These injuries left him in critical condition.

Joseph Dredla, 21, was the driver of the F-350. He was arrested after the crash for intoxication assault, intoxication manslaughter and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

The family of the man who was struck and killed is holding a service for his passing.

A viewing for Earl Waterbury will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the American Heritage Cemetery and Funeral Home with the family receiving visitors from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
