PRESIDIO COUNTY, TX (KWES) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Presidio port of entry found 172 pounds of marijuana hidden in the false bed of a truck.
Authorities said a truck driven by Julio Cesar Aros Camacho, 39, was found to have anomalies in the truck bed after an x-ray scan.
A narcotics detector dog then alerted officers to the presence of drugs.
Officers then drilled into the bed which revealed a green substance that tested positive for marijuana.
In all, 82 bundles of marijuana were removed from the false truck bed.
Camacho was arrested and turned over to ICE agents.
He will face federal charges for the attempted smuggling.
