PRESIDIO, TX (KWES) - CBP officials in Presidio made a large drug bust over the weekend.

According to a press release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, over 100 pounds of marijuana was seized on Sunday at the Presidio Port of Entry.

Authorities said a Nissan Altima entered the port from Mexico and an officer noticed the driver appeared to be confused and approached the vehicle.

The report stated that the driver became noticeably nervous while talking to the officer.

The officer later opened the driver side door and noticed that the door rocker panel and saw it was tampered with.

An x-ray of the vehicle was conducted and the results showed anomalies in several parts of the car including the quarter panel, rear bumper, rocker panel, rear dash panel and front center console.

After a drug sniffing dog alerted to the presence of drugs, the driver, Patsy Delgado, 49, of Lubbock, was arrested.

Delgado was later turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement HSI agents in connection with the failed drug attempt.
