ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa woman is recovering after getting shot in the face over the weekend.
Now we're getting a look at the man arrested for doing it.
Deputies say Michael Thomas, 35, shot Kelley Manning, 58, in the face at a home on West 64th Street.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Manning is in stable condition at the hospital.
Deputies say Thomas ran from the house after the shooting.
They set up a perimeter and Thomas was later spotted by Sheriff Donaldson.
A spokesperson for UTPB tells us Manning has been employed at the university since 1995.
Manning's student Tiffany Villanueva said, "Every time we need help, she's there. More than a teacher, I would say she's a friend. She's a really great friend."
Thomas is facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges.
