ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The Ector County Public Library remains closed after a flood over the weekend.
?Library Director, Rebecca Taylor said "It was coming down in the foyer."
Maintenance Director, O.C. Castillo said "There's carpet on the second floor that's potentially damaged with bubbles on it."
Most of the book in the library only received minor damage, except for a few.
"In the basement, the ones that were in the hall were pretty much wiped out," said Taylor.
Around this time, between four and seven thousand people visit the library weekly.
"The library staff have been working really hard to make sure everything is secured and safe for when the people do come back in," said Taylor.
The library will not fine people whose books are due while it is closed.
