Drugs seized after vehicle crashes into patrol car in Ector County

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A crash involving an Ector County deputy's patrol car led to a Valentine's Day drug bust.

Michael Molina, 22, was arrested after police found methamphetamine and a glass pipe in his car.

The sheriff's office says a deputy was directing traffic around 4 a.m. Sunday morning with his emergency lights on.

That's when the deputy saw Molina driving toward his patrol car at a high rate of speed.

Molina crashed into the patrol car sending the vehicle spinning.

The deputy has a small cut on his forehead but there was major damage to the patrol car.
