Warm, dry, and windy weather brings high fire danger for West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico this Wednesday.
Southwesterly wind is responsible for drying of vegetation and dropping relative humidity to about ten percent. Temperatures will climb to ten to fifteen degrees above the norm of sixty-one this afternoon. Winds will also be breezy between ten to twenty miles per hour.
Avoid outdoor burning or any activities that lead to sparks. Grass can easily catch on fire and conditions are favorable for fires to spread easily.
