MIDLAND-ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Midland Drug Enforcement Administration task force arrested Billy Lowery, Chad Singleton and Crystal Hamann during a meth bust in Midland and Odessa.
Lead Agent of the Midland DEA office, Dante Sorianello said, "We arrested two individuals for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and we then subsequently did a search warrant in Midland, Texas and arrested a woman in the conspiracy with these individuals on the same charges."
Officials said they confiscated two pounds of meth along with five guns. Two other suspects in Amarillo were also arrested in connection to the drug ring.
"That same night on February 2nd, two other individuals were arrested in Amarillo with another pound of methamphetamine. They were also involved in the distribution organization," said Sorianello.
DEA officials believe the suspects were making tens of thousands of dollars selling the drugs on a weekly basis.
"When you break that down and they're selling it by the ounce your quadrupling more when it gets cut that ends up being a heck of a lot of meth out here for distribution."
According to Sorianello, the bust took a team effort.
"We watch people. We gather evidence and at the right time we swoop in and make the arrest," said Sorianello.
The suspects are facing drug and gun charges.
