C.A.F. museum plane makes belly landing at Dallas airport

DALLAS, TX (KWES) - A World War II era military plane that belongs to the CAF Museum in Midland made a belly landing at Dallas Executive Airport on Wednesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the P-51 Mustang had extensive damage in the accident.

A CAF spokesman said the pilot was on a regular proficiency flight when it happened.

The pilot wasn't hurt.

Officials are trying to determine what went wrong during the landing.

We're told the plane is a single seat aircraft with room only for the pilot.
