MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - A dog was found shot in a Midland backyard on Monday and now police are investigating.
Midland police said they got a report from a homeowner in the 6000 block of Wagner of their dog lying on the ground in their backyard.
Authorities discovered that the dog's wound was the size of a pellet gun.
The dog was taken to the vet but later died.
Police are now investigating this case, however, they have no suspects.
According to the report, the suspect could face jail time for animal cruelty, which is a state jail felony.
