NASHVILLE, TN (KWES) - A former Odessa College basketball player is now facing murder charges following a deadly shooting in Nashville.

Jamontae Davis, 21, was arrested along with his brother, Kevonte Davis, 18, last Friday night.

This happened just weeks after Jamontae Davis was arrested in Odessa for assault causing bodily injury.

The Nashville Metro Police Department said a dispute over a girl led to the deadly shooting of James Nevils, 23.

Authorities say Nevils and the Davis brothers were at a boy's varsity basketball game at Whites Creek High School when the three got into a fight in the lobby of the gym during halftime.

That's when the three left the gym, went outside, had an argument for about 20-30 seconds and Nevils was shot in the chest.

Both Davis brothers have been arrested and charged with criminal homicide for the shooting.

Bond for both men has been set at $250,000.
