Teen behind bars, suspected to be involved in other crimes

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

An Odessa man is behind bars suspected of committing several crimes from theft to credit card abuse.
E.C.I.S.D. police found and arrested 17 year old Zachariah Powell, who had been wanted out of Ector County.
On December 26, 2015, someone reported their vehicle had been broken into.
It happened on the 1500 block of Cimarron in Odessa.
The suspect took credit cards, and used them at different places such as Wal-Mart, Harbor Freight, Hastings, and two different Stripes locations.
The next day, police watched surveillance video from the stores, and identified Powell as the suspect using the stolen credit cards.
The month before, on November 21, 2015, another victim claimed someone broke into their home and took their property.
When questioned, Powell confessed to the break in, saying he went in through an unlocked window and took a television.
Charges against Powell include theft of property and credit card abuse.
Powell is currently the suspect in several other investigations.
