Odessa Police searching for drive-by suspects

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The 2900 block of San Fernando is calm but on Thursday night night a home on the street was the target of a drive-by shooting. Neighbors on the road heard the gunshots just before midnight.

"Upon arrival, officers made contact with some people at a residence and investigation revealed that residence had been shot at," said Cpl. Steve LeSueur of the Odessa Police Department.

After the shots rang out, witnesses saw two vehicles on the street fleeing northbound.

"They observed a white SUV, along with possibly a Chevy suburban," said LeSueur.

Police say no injuries were reported in the shooting but a house on the street got hit by a round of bullets.

"A couple of officers did locate several shell casings in the street, along with several holes in the residence and they did find a round inside the residence," said LeSueur.

OPD will be evaluating surveillance video obtained from a neighboring house but they don't have descriptions of the suspects involved.

Police say once the suspects are caught, they likely will be charged with deadly conduct.
