ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Officers arrested the head coach for the Permian High School varsity baseball team for driving while intoxicated on Tuesday.
Officials say Chad Coleman posted a $500 bond the same day and got out of jail.
Authorities say Coleman was arrested near the U.T.P.B. campus on the 4800 block of East University Boulevard.
That is about two miles away from his home, which is listed in jail records as East 11th Street.
Coleman has been the head coach for Permian's baseball team for nearly three years.
E.C.I.S.D. spokesman Mike Adkins tells NewsWest 9 that Coleman has been reassigned in the district.
He will now be an assistant track coach at Wilson and Young Middle School.
