Man accused of shooting Odessa police officers moved to new jail

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The man accused of shooting two Odessa police officers last month is no longer under the watch of Ector County.

According to new reports, Roy Daniel Garza was taken to a detention center in Williamson County on January 18.

Garza had outstanding warrants out of Williamson County and he will be prosecuted there.

Garza was arrested after shooting and injuring Sergeant Pete Gonzales and Officer Cory Wester during a nine hour standoff at Clayton Manor Town Homes in Odessa.
