SNYDER, TX (KWES/KTXS) -

Two men were found dead under a trailer home in Snyder on Sunday morning.

Snyder police said they were called out to the 2000 block of Avenue Z just before 9 a.m. in reference to a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road, "with the engine running."

About 15 minutes after police responded, two people, Juan Barron, 24, and Nicole Dabney, 28, went to the police department and reported that two people had broken into their house around 4 a.m. in the 2000 block of Avenue Z.

According to the report, that's when a fight occurred and two men were killed. Authorities told KTXS in Abilene that both men were both shot and stabbed.

Authorities say the identities of the two men have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The victim's bodies have been sent to Lubbock for an autopsy.

Police said Barron and Dabney have been taken into custody and charged with tampering with evidence.

No arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of the two men.

Police are still investigating.
