Family of Trey Sands tells of emotions as trial nears

BREWSTER COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Family and friends of a murdered man are asking for justice. The trial of the three people accused of being involved in Trey Sands' murder begins tomorrow. NewsWest 9 spoke with the family of Trey Sands today. He was murdered back in October of 2014. Three people have been charged with first degree murder. Investigators believe Keith Mcwilliams shot Sands in the head, and then Charles Marrow and Rhonda Bloom helped bury his body. Sands was later found at Terlingua Ranch by his family who set out in search of him. They told of their emotions as they prepare for the trial of the accused murderers that begins tomorrow.

"I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready to get justice for him. Absolutely. I have faith that, and I have confidence in the good folks out here in Brewster County. They're going to have a good jury. Absolutely. We have to. You know and I think and have faith that we're going to get justice for him. That's all we want. It's not going to bring him back," said Kara Sands, the sister of Trey Sands.
