Local convenience store reopens after being robbed at gunpoint

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Two armed men robbed the N-N Out convenience store in Odessa. According to the owner, the robbery took less than 30 seconds.

Kelton Smith, owner, said, "Two guys ran up to the drive thru window with guns and one of them reached in and told them to give him the money."

According to police, the men were described as white males in their early to mid 30's. Smith says the store does it's best to stop incidents like this.

"We do everything we can to try to curb it but they stay one step ahead of us, it seems like," said Smith.

There are safety measures in place if a robbery occurs. The safety of the staff is most important to Smith.

"They did the best they can and ended it as quickly as they could. Nobody gets hurt that's the name of the game," said Smith.
