ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two school cafeteria workers in Odessa are out of a job.

Over the weekend, someone posted photos on social media showing two workers leaving their elementary school lunch room with food in hand.

Ector county school district administrators say the two women admitted to taking left overs home.

We're told federal school nutrition guidelines say left over food must be disposed of.

It can't be taken home or given away.

The school district fired both workers.
