BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars accused of arson.
Big Spring police reported they were called out to the 500 block of Benton Wednesday afternoon in reference to a fire.
When officers arrived, they found a subject adding trash to an already burning fire, which was close to a building.
When the subject, who was later identified as Tony Jetton, 40, was confronted by police, he said he was going to burn it all down.
Authorities were able to take Jetton into custody and the fire was extinguished by the fire department.
According to the report, Jetton didn't own the property he was trying to destroy and the motive behind his actions are unknown.
Jetton is charged with arson and is currently behind bars at the detention center.
