ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A traffic stop turned into a big weapons and drug bust in Ector County.
Deputies pulled over a car on FM 1936 with three people inside.
It turns out one of them, Travis Green, was recently discharged from parole.
The report says the deputy saw an assault rifle in the back floorboard and it had 38 live rounds.
The report says he told the deputy he had a .40 caliber handgun inside the center console.
Police say because Green is a convicted felon he is prohibited from being around any firearms.
The report says the driver, Timmy Perrin, also admitted to having a .50 caliber handgun between the front driver's seat and console.
The deputy says it was loaded with five live rounds.
During a search, methamphetamine was found in his coat pockets.
Officers also found methamphetamine in the pockets and purse of another passenger, Lydia Collins.
Perrin and Collins face drug charges while green faces a weapons charge.
