Midland County burn ban extended

Midland County burn ban extended

Midland County Commissioners approved continuing the burn ban.

The ban will last for the next 90 days after the county fire marshal made the recommendation.

Because of summer rainfall, there is a lot of high, dry vegetation, which is fuel for fires.

There are only a few exceptions.

You can still barbeque outside.

Firefighter training, public utility, natural gas pipeline or mining operations are all okay with approval.

Along with planting or harvesting crops and approved controlled burns.
