Water consumers in the city of Lamesa are still be urged to reduce and conserve their water use.

According to the Lamesa Press Reporter, repairs are still being made to the main aqueduct pipeline that provides water to all of the Canadian River Municipal Water Authority (CRMWA) cities.

The leak is in the stretch of pipeline northeast of Amarillo, meaning that nine of the 11 cities that CRMWA provides water to are affected.

Since both Amarillo and Lubbock have other water sources available, both cities have reportedly stopped taking CRMWA water entirely.

The other cities affected by the leak are Lamesa, O'Donnell, Brownfield, Levelland, Tahoka, Slaton and Plainview.
