ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The Professional Police Officers Association of Odessa has set up an account for two officers injured in a shooting back on Dec. 23, 2015.

The officers, Sgt. Pete Gonzalez and Cpl. Cory Wester were shot after trying to locate a wanted subject with a parole violation warrant at the Clayton Manor Town Homes in Odessa.

Police say the suspect, Roy Daniel Garza, began shooting and Gonzalez was shot in the arm and Wester was shot in the chest and upper leg area.

Both officers were taken to Medical Center Hospital and Gonzalez was released just before Christmas.

Wester is in good condition at Medical Center Hospital.
