ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A cab driver has been indicted in a deadly shooting in Odessa.
Khalifa Muhammad is charged with first degree murder.
He's accused of gunning down Brandon Russell.
Muhammad is being held on a $2 million bond with conditions.
The shooting happened at the Acacia Apartments in October.
Police say Muhammad called them claiming his car was being illegally re-possessed.
Dispatch says they could hear arguing over the phone.
When officers arrived, they found Russell dead with several gunshot wounds in car.
The report says witnesses told police that Muhammad became angry when Russell tried to repo his car.
Muhammad was on the run for several days before police caught up with him at the Flying J Truck Stop.
