Early voting begins Monday for Howard College rollback election

HOWARD COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Voters in Big Spring will soon be able to decide if they want to pay more taxes to Howard College.

Early voting in the rollback election starts on Monday, January 4.

Howard College hiked its rate to .25 after the state cut its funding.

A petition was put together to put the hike to a vote. 

If the majority of voters say no, the rate would roll back to .23.

Early voting will run until January 15.

Election Day is Tuesday, January 19.
