REEVES COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Interstate 10 is back open near the Interstate 20 split after a multi-vehicle accident in Reeves County.

Traffic had been backed up since late Sunday night, stranding several drivers for hours.

We're told a fuel trailer in Kent, Texas, was even taken through the area to help fuel cars up.

Traffic was so bad many frustrated drivers reportedly parked where they were and slept just to pass the time.

"We were totally frustrated. Completely. I'm surprised we haven't all yelled at each other yet. To pass time, we slept and kind of made jokes about things on the side of the road," said Scoti Head, who was stuck in traffic on Interstate 10.

We are also being told multiple gas stations were out of gas in Balmorhea and Saragosa.
