ONCOR investigating downed power lines in Ector County

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

ONCOR is continuing their investigation into what caused power lines to fall on Monday night.

The electric company says around 1,500 customers lost power.

Most had their power back within an hour, leaving three to four customers still in the dark.

Rick's Cabaret and Jaguars Gold Club were two of the businesses affected.

They didn't get power back until around 5 a.m. or 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A stretch of highway 80 was closed for part of the night as crews worked to pick up the lines.

ONCOR isn't sure what exactly caused the power lines to go down.

They did say vehicles were involved in taking the lines down.
