ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa woman, accused in connection to her son's death, will spend the next eight years in prison.
Jasmine Olivas plead guilty to injury to a child.
Her boyfriend, Segundo Ramirez, was accused of killing her two year old but a jury found him not guilty of capital murder.
Instead, he was convicted of injury to a child and injury to a child by omission.
He will serve 129 years in prison.
The little boy, Omar Frias Junior, was taken to the hospital in Odessa after he became unresponsive.
He was later airlifted to Fort Worth where he died.
An autopsy revealed the boy died from blunt force trauma.
